Ferrari mess

Charlie and Monica were two peas in a pod, well, sort of. Monica was always in love with Charlie, but Charlie just wasn't interested. She would give him gifts, go out of her way to make him happy, and even dressed provocatively just to catch his attention, but Charlie just didn't see her that way. Monica, however, was not one to be deterred. She had high self-esteem and a tremendous personality, and she was not afraid to put herself out there.

One day, Charlie was feeling down after a bad breakup. Monica, being the good friend she was, suggested they go out clubbing in San Francisco to blow off some steam. Charlie agreed, and they took his beautiful red and black Ferrari 458 Italia out for a spin. Monica loved the Ferrari and would caress it sensually, which made Charlie shake his head in amusement.

They went to several local spots and had a few drinks. Charlie loved driving the Ferrari from one spot to the next, he knew all the best locations to park without hassle. Girls would look at him in the Ferrari, but his mind was on his ex-girlfriend, Monica tried to help him forget about her. At every spot she made sure Charlie had a drink or two. After a while, Charlie was ready to call it a night. They were close to Crissy Field East Beach and Monica suggested to go there to sober up and see the Golden Gate Bridge.

As they parked, Charlie fell asleep, and Monica saw her chance. She jumped on top of him, Charlie didn't know what was happening, he tried to focus and think when he realized that it was Monica who was trying to kiss him. Charlie pushed her off and got out of the car walking towards the beach.

Monica tried to follow Charlie and confess her love to him, but he did not wanted to listen, he felt betrayed and wanted nothing to do with her. Despite his initial impulse to leave her there, it was already late, so he decided to take her home. However, during the ride in the Ferrari, they inadvertently got sand all over the seats and carpet, leaving a mess that only added to Charlie's frustration with the situation.

As they left the beach and drove through empty streets, Charlie pushed the Ferrari harder than usual, as if blaming the car for his troubles. Upon arriving at Monica's home, he left without saying a word. During the drive back, Charlie couldn't help but ponder what had happened and what had motivated Monica to act on her feelings, especially since he had never given her any indication that he reciprocated them. It all seemed to have been in her head.

The following day, they both went to a party with their friends, but they deliberately avoided each other to sidestep any conversations about the previous night's events. Several years later, they both relocated to New York City and unexpectedly encountered each other again. With the passage of time, they had both become more mature, and they found themselves laughing about the past incident, especially the mess that the sand had caused in Charlie's car.

From that day forward, they remained friends and kept their relationship platonic. Charlie finally realized what a great friend Monica was, and he was grateful to have her in his life. Monica, on the other hand, was still in love with Charlie but knew that their friendship was more important than any romantic relationship. They both learned that sometimes, it's better to keep things simple and not complicate things by adding romance to a friendship.
